Peru grants environmental approval to Tier One Silver for further drilling at Curibaya

TSXV-listed explorer Tier One Silver has announced receipt of environmental approval from the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines for further drilling at its 100%-owned Curibaya silver-gold project.

The Declaración de Impacto Ambiental (DIA) permit means the company can extend its drilling boundaries to include the Cambaya target area, and drill up to 200 holes from up to 20 new drill platforms.

The Cambaya target area, located to the Northeast of the previously defined mineralised footprint of the project, provided the best channel sample results from Tier One’s first phase of drilling at Curibaya.

Tier One’s technical team believes there is a larger window for potential precious metals mineralisation at the Cambaya target, owing to it being at a higher elevation where less erosion has occurred.

The company is currently conducting a channel and rock sampling programme to further define targets for the phase two drill campaign, which is being designed to target untested copper porphyry targets that were identified in the first phase.

“Receiving the DIA permit is a key milestone for Tier One Silver as it will allow us to drill our highest priority silver and gold target on the Curibaya project, in addition to newly developed copper porphyry targets,” said president and CEO Peter Dembicki.

“Our confidence in the potential of Curibaya has continued to increase as we explore the project,” he added.
