Rock Tech Lithium named on 2022 TSX Venture 50

Canadian cleantech firm Rock Tech Lithium has been named on the 2022 TSX Venture 50, after graduating to Tier 1 of the Exchange in June last year.

The TSX Venture 50 is an annual ranking of top performers on TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), based on year-over-year performance across three equally weighted criteria: growth in the market capitalisation, share price appreciation and value traded for the year ending December 31, 2021.

Tier 1 is the premier tier on TSXV and is reserved for the Exchange’s most advanced issuers with the most significant financial resources.

Rock Tech’s CEO Markus Bruegmann said: “We are very pleased to be recognised as one of the best performers on the TSX Venture Exchange. We have made great progress over the past twelve months in financially equipping Rock Tech.

“We have also made significant progress on the development of our Georgia Lake lithium project [in Ontario, Canada] and the pre-construction of our converter in Guben, Brandenburg [Germany]. Our team has done a great job.”

Rock Tech intends to commission Europe’s first lithium converter by 2024, with a nameplate production capacity of 24,000 tonnes per year. This is equivalent to the volume needed to equip around 500,000 EVs with lithium-ion batteries.
