Emerita Resources named top performing miner on 2022 TSXV 50

Toronto-based Emerita Resources Corp has been ranked the highest performing mining stock on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV), with an annualised average share price growth of 1,255%.

The TSX Venture 50 is an annual ranking of the top performing companies on Toronto’s junior market, drawn from five sectors: clean technology and life sciences, diversified industries, energy, mining, and technology.

Emerita, which is engaged in the acquisition and development of mineral properties in Spain and Brazil focusing mainly on zinc, lithium, and gold, enjoyed a ‘transformational’ year according to CEO David Power.

“We are very proud of this accomplishment and very grateful to our many supportive shareholders that have been pivotal in allowing us a to realise this recognition,” he said. “Further we recognise that it takes a team, and this performance represents an effort by all of our staff in Spain and in Toronto.

“We are forecasting 2022 to be another transformational year for the next phase of our growth with commencement of drilling the Romanera and El Cura deposits expected in the next few weeks and the resolution of the Aznalcollar legal dispute near conclusion.”

Arizona Metals ranks second in the TSX Venture 50 with 503% share price growth, followed by Gratomic (306%), Standard Lithium (331%) and American Lithium Corp (249%). The remaining companies in the top 10 are: Foran Mining Corp, Noront Resources, Frontier Lithium, Atlas Salt and Rock Tech Lithium.
