23 Mar Golden Arrow commences drilling at Antofalla project in Argentina
Golden Arrow Resources (TSX-V:GRG) has announced it has commenced the first diamond drill programme at its Antofalla silver-gold-base metal project in Catamarca Province, Argentina.
The programme will include up to 3,000 metres of drilling on multiple targets that were delineated in the 2017 surface exploration and trenching programmes.
Mineralisation was identified in several areas of a Miocene Dome complex with the project, with an review of the initial data indicating similarities to the geologic model present at Golden Arrow’s Chinchillas silver project in Jujuy province.
“Our initial exploration results at Antofalla confirmed similarities with our Chinchillas Silver Deposit and identified previously unreported targets,” said Brian McEwen, Golden Arrow’s vice president of exploration and development.
“We completed more detailed work, including trenching, in the fourth quarter of 2017, in order to prioritise the various zones. We now look forward to our first look at the sub-surface of these exciting targets.”
Golden Arrow is part of the Grosso Group, a private management company operating in the Argentinian mining sector. The Grosso Group also manages Blue Sky Uranium and Argentina Lithium and Energy Corp.
