Randgold restores annual resources

Randgold Resources (LSE:RRS) reported their annual resource reserve statement displays determinable measured and specified resources at 211 million ounces.

Complete reserves of 14.6 million give back a 3.5 per cent reduction after mining consumption.

There has been no change in the resource’s grade after a year that reported 1.2 million ounces of record production.

Mark Bristow, Randgold’s chief executive said the company has not been forced into high-grading by competitive market constraints. Bristol stated, “We’ve been able to steer a steady course through some choppy waters because our long-term strategy takes the cynical nature of the gold mining industry into full account.”
