03 Apr Saudi Aramco signs agreements with Abu Dhabi energy firms
Saudi Aramco has signed two separate MOUs with Abu Dhabi energy companies Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) and Masdar, which will further strengthen Saudi-UAE energy ties.
Under the first MOU, Aramco and Adnoc will collaborate on identifying new technologies which could improve operational performance and efficiency across the Middle Eastern oil and gas value chain.
Aramco’s president and CEO Amin H. Nasser signed the agreement with Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber, the UAE’s Minister of State and CEO of the Adnoc Group.
Al Jaber said: “The UAE and Saudi Arabia have strong bilateral ties built on fraternity, collaboration and partnership.
“We share many strategic objectives, and increased cooperation between Adnoc and Saudi Aramco will further ensure our long-term economic and energy resilience.”
Aramco’s second MOU was signed with renewable energy-focused company Masdar, and will result in greater collaboration on sustainable development and renewable energy, particularly in clean electricity generation and developing carbon capture technology.
